but, Factory delivery prestige does not "pay out" until the factory Levels.
so the furtherance of this observation with a question: does the Delivered tonnage reset when the factory levels?

Good line of questioning, which brought up this question for me.

"Have delivered at least 1 ton of goods/passengers to the city in the last 24 hours (Metropolis: In the last hour)"

Does this mean you have to have delivered something to the mega city within an hour before the start of EG or the start of that particular mega cities start?

Assuming i'm understanding correctly so far, a player would have to have Delivered at least 1 ton or 1 passenger in the 24 hours prior to a city Becoming a Mega city. then starting with the 2nd hour of a city BEING a mega city that tonnage requirement would need to be met every hour.

Personally, i think like prestige, the tonnage minimum should be far higher for Mega Cities.

    That's how i understand it.

    next question ..

Active players: Only those players who are active in the city count as active players in the city if they:

Have been online in the last 72 hours (Metropolis: 24 hours)

Have at least 20 prestige (Metropolis: 1,000 prestige)

Have delivered at least 1 ton of goods/passengers to the city in the last 24 hours (Metropolis: In the last hour)

how does this work at the Start of EG?
are these the criteria used for the very first set/block?
for deliveries in EG the time frame is "In the last hour" .. does this mean population impacts are or will be adjusted hourly?

not sure what is meant by the "Metropolis" differences? :/:huh:?(

    Quote

Platform X is based on the Classic Scenario with the following extra features:

    • Active players: Only those players who are active in the city count as active players in the city if they:
      • Have been online in the last 72 hours (Metropolis: 24 hours)
      • Have at least 20 prestige (Metropolis: 1,000 prestige)
      • Have delivered at least 1 ton of goods/passengers to the city in the last 24 hours (Metropolis: In the last hour)

    nice idea!

-- but, you could be SURE that whatever RN WOULD change - the crazy people that enjoy destroying would find a way to go around it... ;)

I like the basic idea, though....

sure, they will. but why make it this easy? adding connections combined with "Typical" EG sabotage methods now is just ridiculous.

    Hey TrainMaster Hemi,

this only happens if you dont use Space bars in your text. If you use them the right line break is done.

do what? lol. that screen shot was to illustrate the difference in width between the text entry box vs the message display.

and no, no matter how we try to space, skip, create blank lines, or stand on our heads, NOTHING allows us to create the message format desired.

with an 11 (ELEVEN) character loss per line, there's no way.

and this is just ONE reason my teams rely on outside chat options. RN in-game messaging is and has been garbage for far too long. y'all need to wake up and fix GAME-PLAY issues rather than pretty up the shop and destroy our login bonuses.

    here's 1 thought:

to be counted as active at the start of EG: 15,000 prestige AND actively online within the previous 24 hours.

to be counted as active when new RG sets generate: 15,000 prestige AND actively online within the previous 12 hours AND actively hauled 5,000 - 10,000 tons in the previous RG set (and hauling in a closed out RG DOES NOT COUNT towards this number.).

Active haulers will run well over 10,000 tons per hour during EG EASY, most will haul in the 15,000 - 20,000 ton range per hour while following online calls.

something needs to be adjusted seriously. all i have to do to mess with EG for anyone in my server is get 30-40 from our region to snake tracks out to all likely EG cities, ONE track short of connecting, and bomb in that last connection in the final couple hours before EG starts. which is exactly what happened to our region in our last round.

this is just plain dumb to allow.

message text formatting is still an issue.

more characters are available in 1 line in the input field than will display on 1 line in the actual message box ..

    messages offset.png

as you can see here, there is an 11 character loss per line when messages are sent.

this is a real pain when putting together longer posts for RG assignments, instructional posts, ect ect. it's pretty much impossible to get the line stops and line breaks to make the message clear and presentable.

EG city tonnage tied to Population levels in the current iteration simply does not work.

Population calculations need to be somehow tied in to either home city settings, or hauling activity, along with a MUCH higher Prestige threshold, (more in the 15,000-20,000PP range imo). 20PP and counted active is just ... not good.
